The university provides each foreign student with a student card which acts as your ID card. You can get up to half price discount of cinema tickets, train travel and some tourist attractions. At the beginning of each semester, you'll need to bring your student card to the office of foreign student affairs in order to register.

If you lose your student card, you can go to the School of International Education to get a new one however there will be a 20 RMB charge.
