University History Museum Tour and Learning Activity for Teachers’ Day
To promote and practice the spirit of educators and celebrate the 42nd Teachers’ Day, the School of International Education organized all faculty and staff for a themed tour and learning activity at the University History Museum, to review the university’s history, reflect on the original aspiration of educating people and foster devotion to education.

Under the guidance of museum docents, participants visited each exhibition area in turn. They systematically learned about the university’s development process, school-running characteristics and fruitful educational achievements, and studied the touching stories of generations of SDUT predecessors who devoted themselves to teaching and nurturing talents.

Old photos and physical exhibits vividly reproduced the university’s arduous and progressive journey. Faculty members stopped to observe and exchanged thoughts. They deeply experienced the university’s profound cultural heritage and the educational mission passed down from generation to generation, further enhancing their professional honour, sense of responsibility and mission as SDUT teachers.

All participants remarked that the visit was a profound spiritual edification. Moving forward, they will inherit the educational spirit of predecessors, stay true to their educational aspiration, base themselves on international education posts, uphold morality and respect teaching, and dedicate themselves to teaching. They will engage in teaching work with greater enthusiasm and contribute to the high-quality development of the school and the university.
This activity further fostered a sound atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education within the school. It inspired all faculty and staff to bear in mind the mission of talent cultivation, fulfill their duties and forge ahead in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and international talent training.
