To further improve the education and management of international students and boost the quality and efficiency of international education work, the university held the 2026 Meeting of the Leading Group on International Student Education and Management in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of Hongyuan Building on May 29. Pang Qiuxiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice-President, attended the meeting. Persons in charge from member units of the Leading Group and secondary colleges participated.

The Dean of the School of International Education reported on international student recruitment, the quality of international student training in 2025, the implementation of the Action Plan for Building the Study in Jixia Brand, and key issues concerning international student education and management. They thoroughly analyzed the new situation and challenges facing international student education and arranged key tasks for the next stage.

Pang Qiuxiang delivered concluding remarks. She fully recognized the achievements of international student education and management and the efforts of relevant departments. Regarding future work, she stressed that all participants should fully understand the significance of this work, further improve management systems and mechanisms, strengthen the development of teaching and management teams, and continuously upgrade service support quality. All departments shall earnestly perform their duties to lift the work to a new level.
