On the afternoon of 4th December, over thirty international students from eight countries including Bangladesh, Morocco and Afghanistan visited Zibo Daranfang Silk Group Co., Ltd. They toured the group's two major production facilities and cultural exhibition hall, experiencing firsthand the millennia-old heritage and contemporary vitality of Chinese silk amidst the interwoven threads and shifting hues.

Within the production workshops, modernised assembly lines presented a distinct spectacle. Automated silk-reeling machinery operated with precision, while digital printing presses seamlessly integrated elements of Shandong culture with international fashion motifs. In the corporate exhibition hall, guides vividly recounted the group's evolution from a late Qing dynasty silk merchant to a contemporary enterprise. After handling the fabrics, Xiaolong from Afghanistan remarked:  I never imagined traditional silk could produce such exquisite samples. This fusion of tradition and technology is truly remarkable.

This visit enabled international students to understand Chinese silk, appreciate its craftsmanship and cultural depth, and, through silk as a medium, revitalise the spirit of the millennia-old Silk Road in the hearts of contemporary youth, building bridges for mutual learning between civilisations.
