To gain a comprehensive understanding of our international students' academic progress and enhance teaching management and service standards for this cohort, the School of International Education convened a mid-term faculty forum in the conference room on the afternoon of November 20. Attendees included the School's leadership, teaching supervisors, relevant departmental staff, and faculty representatives.

During the symposium, teaching supervisors first provided feedback on classroom observations conducted during the first half of the semester. They commended teaching attitudes and objectives, content delivery, pedagogical methods, and instructional outcomes, noting that the vast majority of lecturers demonstrated clear teaching objectives, rich content, effective emphasis on key points and difficulties, proficient use of information technology, and the adoption of heuristic and interactive teaching approaches. These methods were observed to foster knowledge transfer and skill development. Recommendations were also offered regarding classroom management, standardisation of teaching practices, and optimisation of details. Subsequently, participating teachers shared their observations and recommendations concerning existing challenges, engaging in discussions on classroom discipline management, student attendance, teaching protocols, and fostering positive learning habits among students. Concluding the session, the School's leadership expressed gratitude to the teaching staff for their dedicated efforts in educating international students. The SOIE affirmed its commitment to continuously refining teaching and administrative practices for international students, enhancing the quality of talent cultivation for international students in China, and driving improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of international education in China.
