SOIE Holds Work Promotion Meeting for 2026 International Student Enrollment
On the afternoon of October 16, 2025, the School of International Education convened a work promotion meeting for the 2026 international student enrollment with relevant personnel from international student training units. The meeting focused on topics such as the 2025 international student enrollment situation, the 2026 international student enrollment plan, and work recommendations. Attending the meeting were representatives from the respective training schools, Dean Zhang Zhaolu and Vice Dean Zhou Guobao of the School of International Education, as well as relevant staff from the International Admissions Office.
At the meeting, Vice Dean Zhou Guobao systematically reviewed the current status of the 2025 international student enrollment and provided a detailed analysis of the current distribution of students' majors. Subsequently, Bai Yong, head of the International Admissions Office, gave a comprehensive introduction to the 2026 international student enrollment plan and the proposed measures. The school representatives engaged in in-depth discussions around the challenges and pain points in the international student recruitment and training process.

Dean Zhang Zhaolu listened attentively to the suggestions from the school representatives and responded positively. He emphasized that in recent years, the scale of international students at the university has steadily grown, with the quality of student sources continuously improving. However, challenges remain in optimizing the disciplinary structure and increasing the proportion of degree-seeking students. In the future, the school will further strengthen communication and collaboration with all training units, actively expand high-quality student recruitment channels, and strive to achieve a dual improvement in the quality and quantity of international student training, propelling the international student enrollment work to a new level.
