To further enhance the quality of international student enrollment, in accordance with the unified arrangements and requirements of the China Scholarship Council, the School of International Education carefully organized and successfully completed the academic proficiency assessment for the 2025 international undergraduate freshmen on October 12.

To ensure the efficiency, fairness, and accuracy of the assessment, the college established a dedicated working group for the 2025 international undergraduate freshmen's academic proficiency assessment. In the preparatory phase, the college held a specialized examination coordination meeting to clarify work divisions, procedures, and requirements. A professional invigilation team and technical support team, involving the School of Computer Science, were organized to ensure that every testing task was assigned to specific individuals, guaranteeing the smooth progress of the centralized computer-based assessment.

On the day of the computer-based test, the freshmen entered the examination hall in an orderly manner after completing identity verification, maintaining a well-regulated process throughout. The invigilation team strictly enforced examination discipline, ensuring the fairness and rigor of the assessment. A total of 182 freshmen from 14 countries participated in the assessment, which not only evaluated their accumulated knowledge from high school but also highlighted differences in their core foundational mathematics skills, providing valuable data for their future academic studies while effectively motivating them to improve their academic performance.

The successful completion of this academic proficiency assessment has strengthened the quality control of international student admissions. Moving forward, the school will remain committed to enhancing the education quality and development of international students, contributing to the cultivation of more outstanding talents with a global vision and competitiveness.
