2025 International Freshmen Safety Education Conference
On the afternoon of September 25, Shandong University of Technology held a 2025 International Freshmen Safety Education Conference in the lecture hall of Building 3. Pang Qiuxiang, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President, attended and delivered a speech. Zuo Yajuan, Deputy Director of the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Zibo Public Security Bureau, and Zhai Fei from the Zhangdian Traffic Police Brigade were invited to give special safety lectures. All 2025 international freshmen, along with school leaders and counselors, participated.

Pang Qiuxiang introduced the university’s basic situation, with a focus on its internationalization status and international student training system. She offered three hopes to the international students: first, to stay true to their original aspirations and study diligently, not only delving into professional knowledge by actively engaging in laboratory work and academic discussions but also cherishing the opportunity for multicultural exchange to broaden their horizons through communication; second, to deeply experience and foster friendships, stepping out of the campus to feel the vitality of the city and appreciating the richness of Chinese culture and the dynamism of social development during holiday travels, using their observations to build bridges for international exchange; and third, to prioritize safety and maintain vigilance from the very beginning, cultivating safe habits from the first day of enrollment and keeping safety awareness throughout their studies.

Zuo Yajuan focused on core aspects of international students’ stay in China, including document management, visa extensions, accommodation registration, and protection of legal rights, providing detailed interpretations of relevant regulations such as the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners, supported by real-life cases. Zhai Fei addressed road traffic safety, using accident warning videos and case study images to visually explain China’s traffic rules and local traffic characteristics, guiding international students to adopt a safety first travel mindset.
