On the afternoon of May 8, the School of International Education convened a thematic conference on undergraduate education and teaching. Focusing on the core theme of student-centered teaching paradigm reform, the meeting was attended by the school’s leadership, all faculty members, and administrative staff.

Dean Zhang Zhaolu first conveyed the key points of the university leadership’s report and speeches from the Ninth Undergraduate Teaching Work Conference. Subsequently, he identified major shortcomings and issues in the current teaching practices and emphasized the need to thoroughly study the Implementation Plan for Deepening the Student-Centered Teaching Paradigm Reform and other relevant documents, urging to promptly develop concrete implementation measures. Leveraging the revision of the 2025 training programs as a pivotal opportunity and utilizing mid-term teaching inspections, the school aims to enhance disciplinary characteristics in talent cultivation, ensure the effective execution of the annual teaching reform plan, and continuously elevate the reputation of the Study in Jixia brand.
