To further enhance the management of international student apartments and promote self-management, self-service, and self-supervision among students, the School of International Education convened a representative meeting of the International Student Apartment Autonomous Management Committee (AMC) in the Student Affairs Office on the afternoon of May 8. Attendees included the Director of the Student Affairs Office, relevant counselors, and AMC representatives.

The Director Quan Taidong fully acknowledged the AMC’s recent achievements in apartment management services. He emphasized that the apartments serve not only as living spaces but also as vital platforms for cultural exchange and integration. The AMC, acting as a bridge, should leverage students’ proactive role to humanize apartment management and foster a secure, comfortable, and welcoming residential environment. He further stressed that the AMC is a crucial platform for international students to participate in college governance, urging members to exemplify leadership, actively voice student needs, and support management efforts.

During discussions, floor representatives raised valuable suggestions on sanitation inspections, fire safety protocols, kitchen usage, and daily patrols. Faculty attentively addressed queries on-site and committed to reviewing and implementing feasible recommendations to improve apartment management services.

The meeting clarified the AMC’s operational goals and reinforced students’ sense of responsibility and mission in apartment governance. The school will continue refining autonomous management mechanisms, empowering students to elevate apartment management to new heights of excellence.
