
Research Exchange Visit to Jiangsu University Overseas Education College
From January 14 to 16, 2025, a six-member delegation led by Dean Zhang Zhaolu of the School of International Education visited Jiangsu University to participate in the Seminar on Local Characteristic Curriculum Development and Textbook Compilation for International Students' National Conditions Education. The conference aimed to advance theoretical research, explore the connotation and hierarchy of national conditions education, establish China's national conditions education theoretical system, and innovate international student education management mechanisms. It sought to strengthen top-level design for cultivating international talents, improve educational models, and ultimately contribute to China's socioeconomic development, cultural dissemination, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Following the conference, the delegation conducted research at Jiangsu University Overseas Education College, focusing on international student education management and quality certification systems. Professor Wu Peng, Dean of Jiangsu University Overseas Education College, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He presented the recent achievements in student recruitment, educational quality, national conditions education, disciplinary strengths, and flagship programs of Overseas Education College. Director Chen Min elaborated on the practices in international student education and quality certification.
Dean Zhang expressed gratitude for the hospitality and emphasized that Jiangsu University, as the only provincial university that achieved Grade A certification in international student education and management quality, is a role model for each university to learn from. The discussion covered admissions, teaching methodologies, student management, international training programs, and quality certification, with both parties proposing enhanced collaboration in enrollment promotion and resource sharing. The visit concluded with a tour of the college's facilities guided by Dean Wu.
