Completion Review for Special Research Projects on International Student Education Successfully Conducted
On December 12, the School of International Education organized the completion review meeting for the 2022 Special Research Projects on Education for International Students. Attending the meeting as review experts were Professor Lv Yixin, Vice Dean of the School of Literature and Journalism & Communication; Professor Wang Guidong from the School of Teacher Education; and Professor Yao Ronghan from the School of Transportation and Vehicle Engineering. Yu Zhitao, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, staff from the Teaching Affairs Office, and the principal investigators of all projects also participated.
During the review session, the experts provided feedback on each project, evaluating aspects such as research content, methodology, key problems addressed, anticipated outcomes, and potential impact. The experts recognized that the projects had largely met their intended research objectives. However, they noted that some projects demonstrated insufficient research processes and insufficient demonstration of outcomes. The experts proposed that each project team should prioritize the dissemination and application of their research findings to continually enhance the quality and level of their research work.
In recent years, the School of International Education has placed significant emphasis on education for international students. By supporting the establishment of specialized research projects, it encourages and guides faculty to actively engage in research related to international student education. This initiative aims to foster innovative approaches, elevate teaching standards, and actively explore effective strategies for understanding the pedagogical principles of international student education and improving cultivation quality, thereby promoting the high-quality development of international student education at our university.
