Our Faculty and Students Achieved Excellent Results in the Shandong International Chinese Teaching Skills Competition
Recently, the 2024 Shandong International Chinese Teaching Skills Competition, guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Ministry of Education's Sino Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center, hosted by the Shandong Education International Exchange Association and the Shandong International Chinese Education Alliance, and organized by Ludong University, has successfully concluded. Our faculty and student team won the second and third prizes in the teacher group, as well as the third prize in the international student group, thanks to their solid professional competence and outstanding on-site performance. Shandong University of Technology was awarded the Excellent Organization Award.
This competition aims to improve the quality of international Chinese language teaching and promote cultural exchange and cooperation between China and foreign countries. Since its launch in June, it has attracted over 40 teams and more than 100 teachers and students from universities across the province to participate, covering four tracks: teacher groups, undergraduate students, graduate students, and international students. Through the selection process of preliminary and semi-final rounds, 76 representatives from 29 teams have been selected for the finals. After fierce competition, our faculty and student representative team won unanimous praise from the judges with solid knowledge reserves, professional teaching skills, and exciting talent displays.
The teams of Zhai Chaoyun, Zeng Danyang, and Wang Yan won the second prize in the teacher group, while the teams of Su Duxiang, Zhai Chaoyun, and Shi Runmiao won the third prize in the teacher group, and Ma Jian won the third prize in the international student group. This award is another important achievement of our university in the field of international Chinese language teaching. It is not only a recognition of the professional competence and teaching skills of teachers and students, but also a full affirmation of the reform, innovation, and practical effectiveness of the talent cultivation mode of the university, demonstrating the strength of our university's international Chinese language education.
