In order to promote traditional Chinese culture, inherit and carry forward the intangible cultural heritage of martial arts, the School of International Education and the School of Physical Education held a martial arts intangible cultural heritage research activity for Chinese and international students at the First Sports Stadium in the afternoon of May 23.

The activity was guided by Professor Song Zhucong from the School of Physical Education. Firstly, volunteers from the Martial Arts Association showcased various martial arts routines such as Tai Chi to the international students, and their exquisite martial arts skills won applause from the international students present. Then, volunteers from the association divided the international students into groups for guidance and practice, allowing them to better understand and master the essentials of each movement.

In addition to basic martial arts movements and techniques, Teacher Song Zhucong also introduced the philosophical connotations and cultural heritage of Chinese martial arts to international students. The international students listened with great interest and agreed to continue their communication in the future.

Chinese martial arts are vast, profound, and have a long history, making them a treasure of the Chinese nation. Through this research and learning activity, international students have experienced the charm of Chinese martial arts, learned about traditional Chinese martial arts culture, and also enhanced the friendship between Chinese and international students.
