On June 17, a training session on the quality assurance capability of studying in China organized by China Education Association for International Exchange and hosted by SDUT was held in the conference room on the second floor of the north building of the Xingyuan Hotel.The purpose of this training session is to accelerate and expand the opening of education to the outside world, deepen the implementation of education evaluation reform in the new era in the work of education internationalization, promote the modernization of the governance system and governance capacity of study in China, and cooperate with the International Department of the Ministry of Education to further improve the national quality assurance system for study in China.

An Yan,Deputy Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange, Lin Shiliang, former Deputy Director of the Bureau of Educational Supervision of the Ministry of Education, Hu Xingyu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our university SDUT, Yi Weiming, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SDUT, Wei Huan, Director of the Evaluation and Monitoring Division of the Bureau of Educational Supervision of the Ministry of Education, Liu Xiao, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange to China of the Ministry of Education, and Gui Li, Deputy Director of the International Division of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education attended the training session.

Hu Xingyu delivered a speech on behalf of the university, introducing the basic situation of SDUT and the current development of education for studying in China. He pointed out that the internationalization of education is an important indicator of the capability and level of universities, and SDUT has always strengthened the concept of internationalization of education, vigorously developed education for study in China, and implemented six action plans for internationalization of education, including the action plan of Study in Jixia. Quality assurance is the lifeline for the development of study in China and the key factor for sustainable development.

Lin Shiliang elaborated on three issues: what is the quality certification of study in China, why do it and what to do. He pointed out that universities should integrate the quality certification work of study in China with the construction of curriculum system and management mechanism of discipline teaching reform, so as to realize the simultaneous improvement of education internationalization, teaching quality and school running level; the experts should promote the improvement of the quality assurance system of study in China education with higher status, newer concept and stronger responsibility, and make the work of study in China education more solid and stronger together.

The relevant person in charge of the Education Service Accreditation Department of China Education Association for International Exchange gave a policy interpretation on the quality evaluation and standards for studying in China.
